Week 12 NFL Picks

Filed under: NFL, NFL Predictions — Caveman @ 4:56 am

Talk about a steel-toed kick to the nuts – 3-13 last week! “The Man” humbled me last week and now forget talk about 50 games over .500, I would be happy to be over .500 period.

I started the week off right with the Steelers and traditionally I have been very good the week before Thanksgiving. As always these picks are for entertainment purposes only, just in case some big shot lost 10 million dollars last week and is looking to urinate in face (ala Marc Anthony)!

This week: 1-0

Cleveland -3.0 over Houston – This is another sucker bet, but I am sorry I just cannot back Rosenfels on the road when he has murdered the Texans chances of winning with a late interception two weeks in a row.

Buffalo -3.0 over Kansas City – Why are the Bills favored in this game? Maybe because the Chiefs are a much better team without Larry Johnson. You see when they are missing LJ, they run a normal flowing offense. When they have LJ they feel compelled to get him touchdowns whenever they get inside the 10. Last week it cost them twice against the Saints. And Herm Edwards is such a moron he won’t make the adjustment.

NY Jets +5.5 over Tennessee – Believe me, I hope this is like a 70-0 Titans win, but the Jets are starting to look like a team capable of winning the Super Bowl.

New England PK over Miami – If the Dolphins score a touchdown from the “Wildcat” formation we can officially start the discussion about Bill Belichek being over-rated.

San Francisco +9.5 over Dallas – The spread is too heavy for a Cowboys team that has a quarterback who isn’t comfortable throwing the football – YET.

Detroit +8.0 over Tampa Bay –Jon Gruden has a history of not having his team ready to play against inferior opponents and I guarantee the Bucs will not be ready in this game. One has to wonder what exactly Gruden does in those 21-hour work days of his.

Philadelphia +1.5 over Baltimore – I just found out this week that the Super Bowl could end in a tie – wow, can you imagine what a buzz kill that would be. Do they split the Lombardi in half or award two trophies? And who gets the last pick in the April draft – coin flip? The NFL really needs to do something about this.

Chicago -7.5 over St. Louis – When you make the the 2008 49ers look like the 1989 49ers, you know you have big problems. The Lambs are a mess, again!

Jacksonville -2.5 over Minnesota – The Vikings play back-to-back weeks in Florida, yet they traveled back to Minnesota instead of staying in the FLA. I guess when you are 5-5 and a huge disappointment management isn’t very eager to give employees any perks.

And how can you mention disappointment and not talk about the Jags – maybe they right the ship and win out, but you have to think Del Rio is done in J-Ville.

Atlanta -1 over Carolina –Hopefully, Atlanta will realize, like everyone else in the world that Jake Delhomo sucks. What the heck is wrong with that guy? He has a great running game and an all-world receiver, yet he hasn’t hit the century mark in passing yards in two straight weeks.

Denver -9.0 over Oakland – Too bad for Eddie Royal that Deangelo Hall got cut. Beating the crap out of Oakland never gets old for Shanahan.

Washington -3.5 over Seattle – I playing the Jim Zorn knows how to beat his former team angle here.

NY Giants -3 over Arizona – I loved the Cardinals in this game until I found out every sports writer in the US is picking the Cardinals. This is one of those games that is too good to be true – Vegas doesn’t lose games like this. And if you don’t believe me – look back to the Steelers/Chargers game last week.

San Diego -3 over Indianapolis – The Bolts own the Colts.

New Orleans -2.5 over Green Bay – I am hoping for roughly 1 million points in this game, since I have Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees in critical fantasy games this weekend. Rodgers can throw to anybody but Jennings and Brees needs to avoid Marques Colston. I also need a decent game out of Donald Driver, but not so good that he gets bonus points against me.

I love being in multiple fantasy leagues.

Last Week: 3-13

Season: 78-79-1

Best Bet: Philadelphia +1.5

Best Bets: 7-3-1
